Is windshield replacement free in Florida?
For most drivers, yes. Florida Statute 627.7288 says the deductible on an auto policy with comprehensive coverage does not apply to windshield damage, so drivers with comprehensive coverage typically pay $0 to replace their windshield. The rule applies to the front windshield; side and rear glass follow your normal deductible.

Who files the windshield claim?
For policies issued or renewed on or after July 1, 2023, Florida law (s. 627.7289) keeps glass claims in the policyholder's name. We walk you through opening the claim — usually a short call with your insurer — and handle scheduling and follow-up.
Do I have to use the glass shop my insurance company suggests?
No. Under Florida Statute 627.7291, your insurer can't require you to use a particular company or location for windshield replacement, repair or calibration. You can choose MyFreeWindshield and we'll coordinate with your insurer.
Do you use OEM glass?
We source OEM-quality glass and hardware, and recalibrate ADAS systems when required to keep factory standards.
Will my car need ADAS recalibration?
If your vehicle has a forward-facing camera for lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise or automatic emergency braking, it usually needs recalibration after a new windshield. We tell you up front and calibrate it on site as part of the job.
